Welcome to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of the Fort Worth Diocesan Council. The SVDP-Fort Worth Conferences will strive to do its best to accomplish the following Christian virtues through the generosity of people who contribute in a variety of ways. This is what we wish to accomplish.....
Releasing those bound unjustly,
Untying the throngs of the yoke;
Setting free the oppressed,
Breaking every yoke;
Sharing your bread with the hungry,
Sheltering the oppressed and the homeless;
Clothing the naked when you see them,
And not turning your back on your own...Isaiah 58:6-7
Society of St. Vincent dePaul offers assistance to those who have fallen upon times of hardship and personal crisis. Ways in which SVdP helps include providing food, clothing, housing assistance, utility assistance, furniture and other needs.
The Cry of the Poor
The Lord hears the cry of the poor,
Blessed be the Lord.
I will bless the Lord at all times
with praise ever in my mouth.
Let my soul glory in the Lord,
who will hear the cry of the poor.
